1. Goldendoodles are designer dogs.
A designer dog is a cross between two purebred dogs. Goldendoodles are a cross between a Poodle and Golden Retriever.
2. There are different types of Goldendoodles.
While Goldendoodles are all part Poodle and part Golden Retriever, they don’t always have one Poodle parent and one Golden Retriever parent.

3. Goldendoodles are hypoallergenic dogs.
One of the things people love about Goldendoodles is that most have non-shedding coats or shed very lightly.
Of course, it’s not the fur that causes allergic reactions but pet dander. Still, Goldendoodles make good dogs for people with mild pet allergies.
4. Goldendoodles are easy to train.
Few dogs are as easy to train as Goldendoodles. Goldendoodles are very intelligent and eager to please. This makes them very trainable.
5. Goldendoodles are friendly, loving, and sociable.
They get along with everyone! Goldendoodles and Goldendoodle puppies are perfect if you want a dog that can go to the dog park or the farmer’s market.
6. Goldendoodles are healthy, active dogs.

Despite the name, Goldendoodles and Goldendoodle puppies aren’t always golden in color. Goldendoodles come in a variety of colors including black, chocolate, apricot, red, cream, silver, or a combination of colors!
8. Goldendoodles are the perfect size!
Most Goldendoodles are considered medium/large when fully grown. A full grown standard Goldendoodle can weigh anywhere between 45-90 pounds.
If a standard Goldendoodle is too big for you, there are miniature Goldendoodles, which average about 30-35 pounds when fully grown.

9. Goldendoodles live long, healthy lives.
The average lifespan for a Goldendoodle is about 15 years. While Goldendoodles can develop hip dysplasia, this isn’t specific to Goldendoodles, and they generally live long, healthy lives!
